Discover the LingDynasty Photography portfolio showcasing Hifi, Cars, and Dogs through natural light and authentic outdoor storytelling. It has always been where I slow down and pay closer attention. What began as a personal hobby has become a vital part of how I see, frame, and tell stories—both behind the camera and in motion.
My work spans a range of subjects: my love for vintage stereo designs which emerged during the stereo wars of the 1970’s. Dogs with unguarded personalities, cars shaped by design and intention, street scenes that reward patience, and the quiet rhythms of canoe trips taken over the years. Each setting asks for something different, but the goal is always the same—to find the moment that feels honest. I’m drawn to mood, natural light, and composition that lets the subject breathe rather than perform.
I’ve spent time working as a school photographer, which sharpened my portrait skills and taught me how to put people at ease quickly. That experience carries through in my approach today, whether I’m photographing an individual or capturing a fleeting interaction. Portrait photography, in particular, has trained my eye to read posture, expression, and timing—skills that translate directly into my videography work.
Photography has also become an essential companion to my DynastyVinyl YouTube channel. It informs how I frame shots, light scenes, and think visually when telling longer-form stories on video. Just as importantly, it provides a library of original imagery that strengthens my creative independence.
At its core, photography is how I practice visual storytelling without distraction, across HiFi, Cars, Dogs, and the Outdoors. One frame, one decision at a time. It’s where observation becomes instinct—and where every other creative discipline I work in gets better.
If you love dogs as much as I do, please check out @furtographykingston and Whozagooddog, also in Kingston. They have a multitude of services and dogs for addoption!
